I have an 8gb/512gb M1 Macbook Air that I use for running around. I'm not a power user but I tend to keep tons of tabs open across multiple browser windows. Until recently I'd actually forgotten the M1 Air was only 8GB and I never had any noticeable slowdowns for a casual use tab hoarder. It performs just like my more powerful machines in that respect. When it came time for my 70 year old mother to buy a new air, I knew base would do just fine for Netflix and home shopping needs.

honestly they all should be priced at $100 even the airpods the quality on all of them are subpar.. they tend to start making hissing noises when calibrating after some use which shows how bad the quality is on these things.

The battery drained by 54% from 9am at the airport to 2.30pm is kind of fast tbh. If you're always using it for 5 hours straight then I can understand it drained quite fast but I don't think you constantly used it throughout the 5 hours right?

Is it just me or is the audio on the new iPad Pro 13 M4 not as good as the 2018 iPad Pro? Is it just me or is the picture quality on the 2018 iPad Pro picture better than the M4? Is it just me or is the Magic Keyboard exterior quality incredibly poor and marks really easily. Pencil is ok though. Returning the M4 and keeping the 2018. Oh I can no longer access the RT app on the M4. Good buy M4!!

iPadOS 18 what a joke I mean what do these well paid coders do all year? - Resizing widgets and icons are just standard they shouldn't be features, its almost like every feature announced are just gimics - work with Microsoft to bring full Microsoft office like on MacOS without all that wasted space of colour at the top of the screen - Bring the Finder UI to the iPad - Bring from MacOS the three traffic light buttons make them a little bigger. Get rid of that finicky fiddly three dots button that gets in the way of dragging windows! - Just fix stage manager, make it simpler, I like the principle but go back to the drawing board!. Introduce multiple desktops like MacOS that you just scroll to with four fingers - Implement a touch friendly menu bar of some kind, be creative! a menu bar that you pull down from the top that uses icons or something - Introduce powerful MacOS style dialog boxes - Please for gods sakes, the dock doesn't need to be that big or float so far from the bottom. It looks like telly tubby land. Provide some preferences - A proper desktop where you can place file shortcuts or actual files. Moving icons where you want probably took the coders a few hours to implement, its not a feature Then I will buy an iPad M4 🙂

I think Patrick likes opening those Apple boxes and pulling those seals to reveal the Apple Magic! LOL ;) I agree the MacBook Air is great for most task. It's not a pro model and all the complaints are way overblown. I did opt for 16gb ram and 512gb storage. This thing will be my go to for awhile.

I was not really interested in the M2 iPad Air, but recently I noticed my 64gb iPad Air Gen 5 was maxing out on storage capacity. This is really on me since I don’t know why I got a 64gb iPad in the first place, but I will be upgrading to the M2 iPad Air soon based on some of the insights you provided.
